I've faced a warehouse stacked with products because a big-box retailer canceled an order. Or imagine my tradeshow booth getting stuck in a snowstorm just two days before the New York Toy Fair! I've had the pleasure of managing a nationwide team of over 80 sales reps all of whom are awesome people but have 80 different ways of doing things!
My truth in two truths and a lie is I organized a marketing event that broke a Guinness World Record, the Gilda Radner Comedy Festival then broke that record but hey, if you're gonna get beat, get beat by the likes of an SNL legend's fans! And I may or may not have considered sponsoring a pig for a pig racing circuit, I'll never tell!
With a career full of experiences, I've been through it all, or at least enough that I understand the highs and lows of business firsthand.
I fell in love with this industry in 2006, when I joined the start-up game company, The Haywire Group. During my time there, I had the incredible opportunity to get involved in every aspect of the business. I fell in love with this industry in 2006, when I joined the start-up game company, The Haywire Group. During my time there, I had the incredible opportunity to get involved in every aspect of the business. From direct sales and managing independent sales reps to marketing, trade industry relations, tradeshows, inventory planning, product development strategy, content creation—you name it. I even rolled up my sleeves to unload containers and worked in the warehouse to fulfill orders. It was a hands-on experience that shaped my understanding of the industry inside out.
In 2018, I transitioned to the manufacturing side at Grand Prix International (GPI). As the Vice President of Account Management and Marketing, I delved into consulting with up and coming businesses and managed overseas manufacturing projects while also ensuring safety testing and shipping logistics were well handled. I had the privilege of serving on the Executive Leadership Team, where I contributed to shaping both short and long-term business strategies and goals.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I actively engage with industry associations and networks. I'm a proud member of ASTRA (American Specialty Toy Retailing Association) and am an instructor for their CPE (Certified Play Expert) class. Additionally, I've had the honor of serving as a member of their Board of Directors. I'm also an active member of WiT (Women in Toys) as a Chapter Co-Chair.
With my extensive industry experience and involvement, I bring a deep understanding of the nuances and challenges you face. I'm here to leverage my knowledge and passion to help your business thrive.
